Instructors need a flexible gradebook which reflects their approach to teaching and assessment.

Aspects such as oral participation and instructor-assigned compositions often form important components of the assessment for course grades. It would be beneficial to the instructor if they were able to easily include these assessments in their online gradebook, making it the only gradebook they need to maintain for their course.

Capability to Create Custom Columns in the Gradebook (Instructor view)

	Instructors may create custom columns and enter a grade.
	The "SAM" is the electronic version of the Student Activities Manual. If instructors wish to create additional activities, the students' results will also be displayed in the gradebook.
	The entire gradebook, or selected parts of it, can easily be exported to other gradebooks, such as Excel, Blackboard, WebCT, etc.
